STOP Administrator’s Level Two Action Meeting
Transforming the Way State Administrators See, Understand, Plan and Implement their Work to Better Reach And Resource Underserved Communities.
April 30th and May 1, 2015 Jacksonville, Florida (Following STOP Meeting)
The WOCN STOP Administrators Level Two Action Meetings are Advanced Training and Technical Assistance for those who HAVE participated in the National or Regional Action Meetings in 2013. The Level Two Action Meeting will build on the Level One Action Meeting learnings and provide platforms for State Administrators to transform the way they see, understand, plan, and implement their work. We will offer a new lens for Administrators to see themselves as high-level leaders in the dualistic work of supporting victim service programs and as mobilizers in the movement to end violence against women in underserved communities.
State Administrators will have the opportunity to:
- Reflect on and engage with transformative leadership concepts and practices
- Better understand the two-pronged work of providing victim services and working to end violence against all women
- Establish linkages between victim services and the anti-violence movement
- Apply strategies for reaching and resourcing marginalized populations to mainstream populations
- Develop tools, strategies, and actions through a transformative lens that can be used in their day-day work
- Enhance compliance with VAWA Reauthorization for reaching and resourcing culturally specific CBOS and the underserved populations they serve
- Translate learnings into work with grantees and funders

STOP Administrators Level One Action Meeting
June 1-4, 2015
Sacramento, CA.
The WOCN STOP Administrators Level One Action Meeting is for those who HAVE NOT participated in the National or Regional Action Meetings in 2013. This foundational Action meeting will be a hands-on, high-energy, high impact, and challenging convening. Administrators will be introduced to WOCN’s 3-Tier System, an expansion of the term “Underserved Populations,” and the process by which “Underserved Populations” are further defined as Underserved (Limited access and Moderate isolation), Inadequately Served Populations (over-represented and have access but limited quality), and Un-served (No services available and severe isolation).
