After the Walk for Peace\, meet us at the Humboldt Park Boathouse\, where we will have a DJ\, bouncy house\, face painting\, breakdancing\, free t-shirt\, free food\, and more! \nEVENT DETAILS \nWhen: Saturday\, May 23rd. Arrive at 12 p.m.\, Welcome Remarks @ 1 p.m.\, Walk kick-off @ 1:15 p.m.\, Event Ends @ 5 p.m. \nLocation: Meet for the Walk @ Division & California; Walk ends at Humboldt Park Boathouse \nWalk Route: Division→ Kedzie → North Ave → Humboldt Drive Boathouse (30-45 mins) \n \nThis Year’s Walk for Peace Theme: Peaceful Streets\, Safe Summer\nAs part of this year’s celebration\, students in Grades 1–12 were invited to submit original artwork reflecting this theme and highlighting safety\, community\, and unity in Humboldt Park. We’ll receive the final artwork on Friday morning and share it with everyone for the big reveal. The selected student artist will be recognized during the event—a wonderful way to celebrate and involve the young voices in our community. This is more than an event—it’s a celebration of community\, unity\, and peace\, and a powerful reminder of why we do this work. Hope to see you there!
