October 26, 2017 2:00-3:30 pm EST
WOCN Inc. staff and consultants are thrilled to announce our upcoming Webinar, “Identifying, Reaching & Resourcing Immigrant Survivors.” This webinar will provide STOP Administrators with the opportunity to gain practical strategies for furthering services, innovation, and impact for immigrant populations.
This webinar will be facilitated by Leslye E. Orloff And Rocio Molina of National Immigrant Women’s Advocacy Project (NIWAP). NIWAP (pronounced new-app) was formed to educate, train, offer technical assistance and public policy advocacy, and conduct research that will assist a wide range of professionals working at the Federal, State, and local levels who work with and/or whose work affects immigrant women and children. “Our work is designed to promote the development, implementation, and use of laws, policies, and practices that benefit immigrant women and children.”
NIWAP is directed by Leslye E. Orloff whose 34-year career includes working collaboratively with experts across the county to develop and implement immigration relief, public benefits access and family law protections for immigrant women, children and survivors. Rocio Molina, NIWAP’s Associate Director, is an immigration expert, formerly with the Wisconsin Coalition Against Domestic Violence forging collaborations between advocates, lawyers and law enforcement to benefit immigrant domestic violence and sexual assault victims.
