ALSO and Logan Square Ecumenical Alliance partner up for Get IN Chicago Grant

ALSO is thrilled to be among the five planning grant recipients of Get IN Chicago's Community Collaboration and Resident Empowerment Initiative. Together with the Logan Square Ecumenical Alliance (LSEA), ALSO will focus its community programming in Humboldt Park on addressing factors that Lori Crowder, ALSO Executive Director, states increase violence  such as "high- school dropout and expulsion rates, unemployment, and lack of civic engagement." To read more about the grant winners and the initiative, check out Maudlyne Ihejirika's article in the Chicago Sun Times, "5 Struggling Communities Get Help Crafting Own Crime Solutions."
