Join Us! Open Community Forum on Violence
Are you tired of outsiders making assumptions about violence in your community? Do you wish researchers and other officials would ask for your ideas about violence? Join us on July 16, 2015 from 6 pm to 8 pm at Segundo Ruiz Belvis Cultural Center at 4046 W Armitage Ave for an Open Community Forum co-hosted by ALSO and Strengthening Chicago’s Youth. Come share your thoughts about violence in and around Logan Square, East Humboldt Park, Belmont Cragin, and Hermosa. We’ll talk about data about violence and its causes and some of the great work being done to address these issues. Most importantly, we want to hear from you! Free childcare and refreshments will be provided. We’ll also be raffling $250 of Tony’s Finer Foods gift cards. You must be 18 or older to participate. For more information, email Carlee Taggart with ALSO at ctaggart@also-chicago.org or Kelli Day with SCY at kday@luriechildrens.org.
