From Required to Inspired: Unlocking Your Leadership Potential through Grant Administration
On behalf of the Office on Violence Against Women and the Alliance of Local Service Organizations (ALSO) we would like to welcome you to the upcoming workshop, From Required to Inspired: Unlocking Your Leadership Potential through Grant Administration, which will take place in Chicago, Illinois on September 25-26, 2018.
During the two-day workshop we will explore ways to use STOP Grant administration processes and tools to build a strong and effective state/territory STOP program.
The full meeting begins for all on Tuesday, September 25th, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. and concludes on Wednesday, September 26th, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. All participants should make travel arrangements that allow for their participation in the meeting's entirety. It is recommended to book return flights after 6 p.m. on September 26th.

O’Hare Pickup:
Shuttles pick up outside the Baggage Claim area in the innermost lane of the lower level roadways of the Domestic and International Terminals. Advance notice is strongly urged. A round-trip shared ride is approximately $35-$70.
Midway Pickup:
Go Airport Express is located at lower level Arrivals door #3. The pickup location is outside door #3 on the inside lane. Lift-equipped vehicles are available on request for passengers with disabilities. Advance notice is strongly suggested. A round-trip shared ride is approximately $35-50.

Riders requesting a ride at Midway should meet their driver downstairs on the arrivals level (near baggage claim). You will cross the street, and meet your driver in the center lane.

O’Hare:
The O'Hare Blue Line station is located in the lower level of Terminal 2. You can either walk to lower level Terminal 2 to reach the station, or take the Airport Transit System (ATS). The ATS connects each terminal and the remote parking lots and passes through the terminals about every 5-7 minutes.
You can purchase fare with either cash or credit. There are vending machines located outside the station. Single-Ride Ventra Tickets cost $5, which includes a $2.50 train fare. Day passes are also available for purchase.
Midway: The fully-accessible Midway Orange Line station is located just east of the airport terminal building at the Midway Transportation Center and is connected to the airport via an enclosed walkway. Follow the signs in the airport that read "CTA Trains" or "Trains to City." An orange line painted on the ground will guide you to the station.
You can purchase fare with either cash or credit. There are vending machines located outside the station. Single-Ride Ventra Tickets cost $5, which includes a $2.50 train fare. Day passes are also available for purchase.
Parking Information:
Overnight parking for our group is at a discounted rate of $55 per night. Please contact Marisol Giraud should you need to park overnight at the Hyatt Regency Hotel.

Reimbursable Expenses (For those whom ALSO is covering expenses):
If you drive to your local airport from home, we will reimburse you for mileage at .545 cents per mile and for parking (with original receipts provided). If you drive to the workshop instead of fly, you must notify us in advance so that your related travel expenses can be approved.
It is not necessary to submit receipts for meal expenses. You will be reimbursed for meals and incidentals at $74 per full workshop day and meals on travel days at 75% of per diem ($74 x .75 = $55.50).
To be reimbursed for allowable taxis, shuttles, or public transit to/from your home/office to the airport and to/from the Chicago airport to the workshop hotel, 1 checked bag each way and parking at the hotel, you must submit original receipts along with your reimbursement form. In addition, you must include map directions for mileage verification.

Dress for the meeting is business casual. Please note that the average temperature in Chicago for mid-September ranges from 60-75 degrees. Please dress to ensure you will be at a comfortable temperature in the hotel as well as outdoors.

The federal per diem rate is $74. Travel days per GSA guidelines will be at 75% of the per diem.
