Chicago, IL (Rosemont)
March 29-30, 2016

The U.S. Department of Justice Office on Violence Against Women (OVW), in partnership with the Alliance of Local Service Organizations (ALSO), National Network to End Domestic Violence (NNEDV), and the Resource Sharing Project (RSP), is pleased to announce the 2016 STOP Administrators and Coalition Directors Joint Meeting in Chicago, Illinois on March 29-30, 2016.

We look forward to coming together as inspired leaders in this field and as a community to improve responses to violence against women. The 2016 Joint Meeting will provide opportunities to share promising practices, provide peer to peer learning opportunities, and hear from federal and technical assistance partners. 2016 Joint Meeting attendance is open to only one STOP administrator, DV Coalition Director, SA Coalition Director or Dual Coalition Director. Each meeting participant will be responsible for covering all costs associated with attending the meeting. STOP administering agencies can use their administrative funds to cover these costs and Coalition Directors can use set-aside OVW travel funds from their State and Territorial Coalition’s award and/or available organization discretionary funds.  ALSO will have a small amount of funds to provide travel assistance on a case-by-case basis for those STOP Administrators who can demonstrate they are unable to cover the costs.

Registration will close on Friday, January 22, 2016. You MUST receive travel authorization from your agency prior to booking your travel.

In anticipation of the in-person meeting, newer administrators and coalition directors (3 years or less in role) in need of information on federal grant management should visit our New Administrators Welcome Page for resources, including webinars on civil rights obligations of grant recipients, the grant auditing process, using the Grants Management System (GMS), grant fraud investigations, and grants financial management.
