We believe both government and communities are responsible for solving issues of violence. And, in order to respond to these issues effectively, these systems must be well- informed and highly coordinated.
ALSO serves as the coordinator, convener and information hub for government agencies and service providers to create optimal results in communities. Through training, consultation and technical assistance, ALSO builds the capacities of agencies to address domestic violence, sexual assault, dating violence, stalking, and violence against women.
ALSO’s training and consultation programs include the STOP Technical Assistance to Administrators Resource (STAAR) Project, the Underserved Technical Assistance Project and Your Life is My Life Bystander Intervention, in addition to local and national conferences facilitating information sharing and providing networking opportunities.
