Underserved New Grantee Orientation

The Alliance of Local Service Organizations (ALSO), in partnership with the Office on Violence Against Women (OVW), is thrilled to announce that the Underserved New Grantee Orientation on December 6th - December 8th, 2017, in New Orleans, Louisiana, has been approved! On-site registration will begin on December 6th at 8:30 a.m. On December 6th and 7th, the meeting will run from 9 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. On December 8th, the meeting runs from 9 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Participants should plan to attend the full two and half days.
Please save the above dates on your calendar and complete the Underserved New Grantee Orientation registration no later than Wednesday, November 1st.
We are committed to making this event accessible for all participants. If you need any special accommodations, please make sure to indicate so in the registration form. A member from ALSO will follow up on accessibility requests for more complete information and coordination.
Who Should Attend
The registration form should be completed by ALL individual(s) in your organization/partnership who will definitely be attending the New Grantee Orientation. You may send up to 3 people per grantee. Please consider sending (a) significant MOU partner(s), (b) the grant oversight individual and/or (c) the direct front line/implementation individual. NOTE: If more than 3 people from your grant team (attendance includes MOU organizations) register for the conference, their name(s) will be placed on a waiting list until further information can be provided.
Participants are responsible for booking their flights and making hotel reservations.
Participants should use their OVW training set-aside funds from their Underserved grant to cover expenses related to this event. Travel and hotel reservations should be completed by Wednesday, November 22nd, 2017. Do not book hotel reservations until receiving further instructions from ALSO to do so.
When booking flights, please select a departure time that allows you to remain at the hotel until the conclusion of the meeting (12:45 p.m.) and with sufficient time to get to the airport. It is strongly recommended to select a departure time no earlier than 3 p.m. EST on December 8th.
The event will be held at the Le Pavillon at 833 Poydras St, New Orleans, Louisiana 70112. Do not book flight and hotel reservations until receiving further instructions from ALSO to do so. Once ALSO has provided the additional instructions, you can contact the hotel at (504) 581-3111 or through their website http://www.lepavillon.com/ to make your reservations.
