Accessibility-Vol. 10, Issue 2 (2017)

We are pleased to send you the newest issue of Administrators' Corner! AC is the only publication focusing on the four crime areas covered by the Violence Against Women Act and that is tailored specifically to STOP administrators and subgrantees. AC is disseminated approximately quarterly, and looks at project types and programs that can be supported with STOP dollars, promising practices, and STOP administrative processes. We encourage you to forward this email to your STOP subgrantees, other local programs, members of the STOP implementation planning committee, and others in your state who you think could benefit from the material.

This issue focuses on accessibility broadly, and explores the ways in which STOP administrators and subgrantees can build programs; address barriers to accessing services, advocacy, and legal systems; and implement sound practices. It includes a number of articles written by OVW technical assistance providers including the Center for Court Innovation (CCI), Women of Color Network, Inc. partner In Our Own Voices, and Vera Institute of Justice, as well as a piece by Shelli Sonnenberg Wardle of the Boise Police Department.
In the past, we have sent out several issues of the AC using various methods. Recently we noticed that the number of hits on the publication decreased significantly. This may be because some state and territorial agency email filters flag Constant Contact communications as spam. We are attempting to determine if this is a barrier for the majority of agencies. Please reply to this message and note if you believe that you cannot receive communications via Constant Contact.
